Office Safety Measures!

As we’ve been monitoring this rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, we want you to know that we are doing our best to navigate. First, we give our loving thoughts for anyone who has been impacted by the virus, and we as a team are taking precautions in our office.

Together, as a community, we are facing trying times and the current pandemic is affecting all of us. We want to let you know on how we are handling our business to our best to support the health and safety of both you and our team.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office.

Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

When is time for your appointment:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • Your temperature will be taken upon your arrival. We have a hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. We will also ask you to wear face covering when you enter the office and keep it on until our staff is ready to see you.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

Our lobby and treatment area:

1- We have installed hospital grade UV light in our ventilation system. The air in the office is passing through the UV light hidden in the ceiling and removes viruses, bacteria, and any allergens circulating in the air. This hospital-grade air purification system works 24 hours a day and makes the air that we breathe cleaner and healthier.

2- We have installed a shield separating you from the front desk to minimize unnecessary contact with our staff.

3- Everyone in the office wears protective masks and gears including our front personnel.

4- We are constantly disinfecting and sanitizing our office before and after each patient, including bathroom, all door handles and furniture in our lobby and treatment area.

5- Our doctors and assistants who have direct contact with patients wear ADA/CDA approved personal protections equipment including disposable gowns, proper masks, and face shields.

6-We have ordered Extraoral suction systems that suction any aerosols that escape our intraoral suctions to minimize exposure.

7- We schedule our patients with enough time in between their arrivals to assure the social distancing is followed. We also ask our patients to come by themselves to minimize the number of people enter our office.

8- We sit our patients in different operatories in between appointments to give enough time in case there are any aerosols suspended in the air.

9- We have Apple pay and over the phone credit card charges to minimize touch payment system.

We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

As we deal with the uncertainty, we appreciate your understanding and hope at the very least that times like these remind us that we are all in this together.

Warm Regards,
Dr. Ravon and team

Your smile makes us smile!
